Day 198 - Trip to the museum and the exhibitions. Had a lovely time there, though I went alone. It was a very impromptu thing, brought on by my sudden decision to visit the exhibition in school.
Day 199 - David Choi! And finding out I’m getting better at navigating the City Hall - Bugis - Dhouby Ghaut area, haha. =D I probably can walk the entire way from Orchard Road to CityHall, though not in the most efficient way. It’s an achievement already, seriously.
Day 200 - Bookbinding! I enjoy craftwork, if you can’t tell. =p I have tons of supplies lying around in my room, if I would just stop procrastinating, haha.
Day 201 - Class lunch. =) It’s a great feeling when you can feel your class bonding together, that sense of togetherness.
Day 202 -Meetup with 2 poly friends for dinner. Haven’t really seen them in the longest time, and it was so nice to catch up with them.
Day 203 - Layout exercise. It was fun, though I think not all my classmates will agree, haha.
Day 204 - Bonding with my classmates at the opening of an exhibition in school. One of our lecturers was involved in it, so he kept reminding us to turn up, haha. =)
Day 205 - Swimming with my brother and dad. It was just… nice, especially after the entire afternoon of being uncomfortable. Reminder to self: in heavy rains bring a raincoat or poncho as well.
(20 - 27 August 2010)
=) So what made you happy today?
Day 194 - My classes. I’m a rather boring girl, but I’m having fun with my classes. =p
Day 195 - Part 2 of bookbinding class (I have made a book! =D) and driving to school and back. On the way back I was eating a pack of Oreos because I was so hungry…
Day 196 - Making a tiny book pendant and a book in the ancient Chinese style. =)
Day 197 - Finding out there’s that shaved snow/ice thing opposite my school! Haven’t tried it yet, was too full for dessert just now. Also, really found out about HERITAGE FEST. Can’t believe I’ve missed about the entire thing, mehh.
(16 - 19 August 2010)
Day 188 - Curling up and reading a book. =)
Day 189 - Library visit with my brother. More books!
Day 190 - Meeting up with my friends! =D We met for lunch, had free hair trims, shampoo and blow dry, and generally just had fun.
Day 191 - A good sleep. A good sleep refreshes, and generally puts people in a good mood, does it not?
Day 192 - Meeting with my cousin, and having lunch with her and my mum.
Day 193 - Japanese curry rice at home. Though it came from those premade packets (you add your own ingredients), it was nice! Also, clearing parts of my closet. I didn’t really realise I had so many skirts, and now my closet feels clearer too. =)
(10 to 15 August 2010)
National Day parade. It’s almost like a tradition in my family that we’ll watch it together, haha. Also the mobile vehicle display was AWESOME =D.
(9 August 2010)
Soup Restaurant’s Samsui chicken (it’s yummylicious, especially with their special ginger sauce/dip. I don’t really like ginger, but I can eat this as it is!) and playing with my nieces. =) They are adorable, though they made me giddy. One held onto my left hand, one held onto my right hand, and they started running circles around me, spinning me around.
The little pleasures in life. =)
(8 August 2010)
Haha getting my friend hooked on The Big Bang Theory! =p It’s a good show, she’s bored, now she absolutely adores Sheldon. =D
Good things are meant to be shared! Meanwhile, Leverage’s great too, got my brother started on that one. =p
(7 August 2010)
Randomly meeting a friend who was near my school yesterday evening (there was some welcome dinner thing), and Sungei Road laksaa! =D It’s as scrumptious as I remembered. Best part of all? I walked there. Walked all the way there on my own, without getting lost! Okay so my dad was on the phone giving me directions (seriously he’s like my awesome GPS =p), but I found the way, which is saying something, with my, urm, tendency to not know how to get to places. =p
Oohhh my school’s central location is so nice. (^_^)v
(August 6 2010)

Learning how to manually bind a book. It’s not done yet, we’re gonna finish it up in the next class or 2, but it was fun. =) Sooner or later I’ll be making my own notebooks instead of buying them! Hmm. If you’re curious, that off-white strip is not masking tape, it’s glued on bandage.
Also having random cravings for Sungei Road laksa and Tanjong Rhu/Crystal Jade char siew bao, mehh.
(5 August 2010)
Cross-stitched after not doing so for a long time, and finally getting around to cutting my fringe. Also, my ulcer is gone! =D Now I can eat properly again.
(4 August 2010)
Day 177 - Sims 3. v(^_^)v
Day 178 - My friend’s 31st. Though I was really late no thanks to unavailable taxis to the point I started whacking the poles, the distance I had to walk alone in the dark at an isolated location if I had taken the bus, it was rather fun. I stayed over impromptu because booking fee ($3?) + very expensive fare from Pasir Ris to Sembawang + midnight charges (50%?) for the cab is too expensive for me when I could just stay over. Also she sent me home in the morning, I didn’t even have to take the train =p
Day 179 - Random sudden Mind (Minds?) Café outing. I managed to win in Zombies! =D And tied in Citadels, muahaha. =p If that would translate to L4D or something, whee!
Day 180 - Beach Road prawn mee, after a funny car ride going to food outlets that were CLOSED. It’s yummy yum yum.
Day 181 - Induction day, the few of my lecturers I saw were fun. Also, that KOI bubble tea queue is INSANE - of course I didn’t queue up for it… Want to try it once some time though, just to see what’s so good about it. *edit* Watching The Big Bang Theory bloopers and behind-the-scenes on youtube. =) */edit*
(30 July 2010 - 3 August 2010)
Little things to make my day
I haven’t been posting about this, so I’m restarting this (continuing from) today!
College Orientation. =) Enough said, you can read all about that here.
(29 July 2010)
What made you happy today?
Day 174 - Matcha imo, a short, impromptu Band Hero session with my brother and childhood friend, then sending her back late at night with my brother AND finding our way home!
Day 175 - Ohh, today was a fun day. =) First was yummy chicken briyani for lunch, then off to Woodlands Waterfront later in the evening. Rollerblading (albeit rather badly because I AM more used to ice-skating and that I haven’t done it in YEARS), and climbing that spiderweb thing. On top of that, I finished my Ugly Bunny! =D Ooooo, it was fun. (^_^)
(25, 26 May)
What made you happy today?
21 May - Boarded the Superstar Virgo for a 3 day 2 night cruise. The moonlight and the reflection on the sea was beautiful.
22 May - “Swimming” in the sea at Pulau Redang. It’s in inverted commas because we did more searching for fish in the clear waters (so MUCH clearer than Singapore’s!) than swimming per se, haha. It was so clear that even when I’m in to my neck I could still see my feet! =D Also, the random nonsense my brother and I were up to in the room, ehehe.
23 May - Rest time after we got off the ship. For some reason the ship kinda makes me feel sleepier.
24 May - My brother’s graduation. =) Okay to be totally honest it was rather boring hearing name after name (sorry!), and I WAS playing Pokémon with my DS in my bag (I know I shouldn’t, but I was bored… =S)…
(21 to 24 May)
Day 166, 167 - Mmm some guitar and knitting, plus ice cream. I FINALLY finished my scarf! Picts soon, teeheehee. =D
Day 168 - Walking a fair bit and Kick Ass! Watching a movie alone was a new experience, haha =)
Day 169 - New episode(s) of Chuck and The Big Bang Theory. The entire story of how Leonard ended up moving in with Sheldon and why the lift is perpetually out of order is funny!
(17 to 20 May)
Day 161 - Hearing authentic Japanese obasans converse in Japanese with my mum’s friend, who was fluent in the language. Also, and more important, DADDY’S BIRTHDAY. =) HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY! Ah my dad’s a smart one, haha I tried sneaking away halfway from that place to buy a birthday cake (his friends, a couple, followed me), but my mum called me halfway and said that my dad knew. Dang, I was trying to make it a surprise! His friend even did the whole “oh I’m going outside for a walk, Jess wanna come along?” thing, but he knew when her husband followed (due to the fact that we aren’t really sure how to find the cake shop).
Day 162 - Steamboat! We had it at a place called OK Shabu Shabu, and it was yummy and so much fun. =) Food was good (the mantous dipped in condensed milk was YUMMMMMM). The language barrier was rather funny too, haha and with my ‘half-past-six’ (colloquial term) grasp of the language I was the de facto translator, but when she pointed to a plate of cuttlefish, looked me straight in the eye seriously and asked: “これはなんですか?” my mind went TOTALLY BLANK (don’t remember learning that word, oh goshh) and after 30 seconds just blurted out “Sotong!”, which isn’t even correct! =S Then a very funny trip to the supermarket with them, of all places, and waiting for their bus with them at their hotel lobby (they were leaving that day), haha it was interesting. =)
Day 163 - Watching How To Train Your Dragon (oh my gosh Toothless is ADORABLE.) and Kaiji at my aunt’s place in JB. Her sofa’s so fun to play with, you can either slide off the thing or pull it out further! =D It’s like a secret compartment, and we didn’t notice what it could do until she did it. Heehee my brother and I ended up sliding down the sofa a few times for the fun of it. =p Oh, and climbing up the ladder to the ‘attic’ in one of the rooms. I’ve always had some weird fascination with attics, haha and it was an interesting experience, even if it wasn’t actually a real attic.
Day 164 - Chocolate milkshake and gaming! Haha tried a new game, Serious Sam 2, and Oh My Gosh it was o_o insane and so much fun! Hahaha =D first we were shooting giant bees, then a huge sumo with a tail, and zombie kung-fu masters, then wind-up rhinos, a mechanical T-Rex with a real head, self-destructing clowns on unicycles… you probably get the idea. I think we were all laughing our heads off (well, at least me) at the craziness and how incredulous it all was. TF2 was fun, haha and I NEARLY made it to the end of that L4D2 map! However was low on health+couldn’t shake them off so was incapitated just before I boarded the boat! It was somehow quite morbidly funny to see “In Memory of Jessi” at the start of the credits roll, haha.
Day 165 - Board games with my brother, cousin and her boyfriend! He has the most interesting board games (have not tried those at one of those board games places though, so it’s the most interesting ones as far as I’m concerned =p). We “ARRRRR”-ed all the way just because during a pirate game (didn’t take note of the game’s name), built a city in Infinite City, and got assassinated and robbed among other things in Citadels (I got both assassinated AND robbed in a turn once because I was too predictable, huh). Ended it with a good dinner, wonderful company and a nice conversation spanning a wide variety of topics.
